Vermont Registered Agent.co
Professional registered agent Service

One Swyft Quarter Costs More Than a Full Year of Us. Four of Them Come to About $596.

Vermont registered agent representation, billed at $99 per year. Includes the office address on your filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.

Stated plainly: Vermont Registered Agent.co competes with Swyft Filings. We charge $99 a year to hold a Vermont agent appointment, they charge what is described below, and we benefit if you switch. Their figures come straight off their own site as it read in July 2026, with nothing altered.

Swyft Files Things, and Files Them Fine

Swyft Filings is an established formation company. The ordering process is clean, the support line is staffed, and a great many companies have come into existence through it without drama. Wanting one vendor to turn an idea into a registered entity is a reasonable thing to want.

None of what follows is about their competence.

Check the Billing Period

The advertised figure for registered agent service is $149.

That $149 covers a quarter. Four charges a year, roughly $596 annualized, and our July 2026 review found nothing knocking down the first of the four.

Nobody is hiding the period. It is printed. The trouble is that essentially every other agent price a Vermont owner will encounter is annual, so $149 gets filed mentally alongside numbers covering four times the service.

Here is the comparison that actually lands: one Swyft quarter costs $50 more than an entire year with us. Three months against twelve, and the three-month option is the expensive one.

Swyft Filings Vermont Registered Agent.co
Billed $149 per quarter $99 per year
One year ~$596 $99
Five years ~$2,980 $495

Strip the marketing away and a registered agent exists to stop two things: a lawsuit arriving somewhere nobody is watching, and a state notice going unread until it is too late.

Vermont's version of the second failure has a statute attached to it. Under 11 V.S.A. § 4039, an LLC that does not file its annual report can be administratively dissolved. Reinstatement exists, so it is recoverable, but the company that reaches that point spends real time and money getting back what it already had. The report costs $45 and is due within three months of the close of your fiscal year on record.

So the job is: be at the address, scan what arrives the day it arrives, and say something before the report window shuts. That is the whole assignment, and the price of doing it well has nothing to do with how many times a year the vendor invoices for it.

Our $99 covers:

  • A Vermont street address on the public agent line, ours instead of yours
  • Same-day scanning of anything served, in your portal and your inbox before the day closes
  • A permanent, searchable record of everything received on your behalf
  • A reminder as your report window opens and another before it shuts
  • General mail that is not legal process at $15 an item, disclosed here and nowhere else needed
  • One invoice a year, for $99, forever

Before that reads as a boast: BetterLegal's listed price is $90, which is below ours. So we are among the lowest published Vermont rates rather than the outright lowest, and we would rather be precise about it.

What It Takes to Get Swyft Filings Off Your Vermont Record

A Statement of Change. $35. Vermont's Secretary of State handles it through Business Services. The whole thing happens inside bizfilings.vermont.gov, the state's own filing site, where the change is a form on a screen. No paper version exists, which is why no form number exists either, and any guide that offers you one for Vermont is quoting somewhere else. You give the entity, the outgoing agent, the incoming agent, and the incoming agent's Vermont street address.

A Vermont timing rule that catches people. An agent here can resign for nothing, and the resignation lands on the 31st day after the state receives it. That is a countdown, not a courtesy notice. If your provider ever files one, you have a month of coverage from a party who has already told the state they are finished, and after day 31 the agent line on your public record is blank.

Do not wait to find out. Sign up, file the $35 change, confirm through the state's entity lookup that our name now holds the agent line, and stop the quarterly billing afterward. Do not time the switch to a billing boundary either. Vermont does not care what your invoice cycle looks like, and a quarter ending removes nobody from the register. The change of agent page has the rest.
