Bizee's Free Window Closes at $149. Vermont Keeps Your Agent's Email on File.

Vermont registered agent representation, billed at $99 per year. Includes the office address on your filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.

We are not neutral. Vermont Registered Agent.co is the vendor being recommended here. Our price is $99 a year. Bizee competes with us. The Bizee figures come from Bizee's published pages as of a July 2026 check, unedited. Judge the argument, verify the numbers.

Free Is Free

Bizee, which used to trade as Incfile, throws registered agent service into a formation package at no cost. The included term is as short as three months and as long as a full year, according to which package you bought. That is a genuine giveaway, not a trick, and if Bizee was doing your Vermont formation anyway you should absolutely take it.

Nothing on this page disputes that. The dispute is about month thirteen, or month four, depending which package you bought.

The Number After the Window

$149 a year, standalone. Published, easy to check, and $50 above what we charge every renewal for the rest of your company's life.

The window itself is the sharper problem. Included periods end without ceremony. Nobody sends a countdown. A three-month term attached to a spring formation is finished before most owners have opened a business bank account, and the usual way people learn the window closed is a charge appearing on a card.

Vermont's Record Knows How to Reach Your Agent

Here is a Vermont detail almost no national guide bothers with.

When you file the state's annual report, Vermont wants an email address for your registered agent, not merely the street and mailing details. A live contact route, recorded in the public file, which the statute now treats as part of what the state is entitled to know about your company.

Two things follow from that.

One: your agent is not a background detail Vermont happens to tolerate. It is an identified, contactable party in your official record, and stale details in that field are your problem rather than your vendor's.

Two: the annual report is not the place to change agents. That takes its own filing, which is described below. Owners who assume they can quietly swap the name during the yearly report end up doing the year with the wrong agent still on record.

The report itself costs $45 and is due within three months of your fiscal year end. If you have seen $35 quoted, that was the old fee.

What $99 Gets You

  • Our Vermont street address on the agent line so your home address stays out of a searchable public database
  • Legal process imaged the day it lands and forwarded to you immediately
  • Every document we have ever received for you, kept in the portal and retrievable
  • Report reminders that follow your fiscal year, not a generic date
  • Everyday business mail at $15 a piece, listed here so it is never a surprise line on a bill
  • $99 now, $99 at renewal, no window that expires into a bigger number

$90 exists. BetterLegal publishes it, and it undercuts us by nine dollars, so we are one of the cheaper published Vermont options rather than the cheapest one. We would rather write that sentence than have you find it out somewhere else.

Vermont's Exit From Bizee Costs $35

The filing is a Statement of Change. Business Services at the Secretary of State's office takes it. You file it at bizfilings.vermont.gov. There is no second option, which is precisely why there is no form number for anyone to quote at you. Fill in the entity, the agent leaving, the agent arriving, and the new agent's Vermont street address. Bizee has no say in it and no signature to withhold.

Order of operations, since a free window makes people sloppy about this. An expiring window does not take Bizee off your record. The filing does. So put your own end date in a calendar the moment you form, and file before the charge rather than after it. Appoint us, submit the change, confirm the state's records show the new name, and let the old arrangement lapse from there. The state treats that agent field as something that should never sit empty, and an expired bundle is not a resignation. It is just an unpaid arrangement with somebody's name still on your public file.

Full steps are on the change of agent page.
